St. Ive’s Apricot Face Scrub: A Must Use Product

I’ve been using St. Ive’s Apricot Face Scrub for nearly five years now. I swear by this product. While it’s definitely not a daily face wash, it’s perfect for exfoliating your skin once or twice a week.

I first started using this product because I was looking for something that was quite as harsh on my skin and filled with harmful chemicals. But I couldn’t afford most organic products.

With this product I found the best of both worlds. It’s certainly not organic and there are some chemicals, which hold the scrub together. But the main ingredients, which are the most effective, are apricot, corn kernel meal, and walnut.

One 6 fluid ounce bottle of this will cost fewer than four dollars. I’ve gotten it as low as three on some occasions. So you get the natural touch while also saving money.

When I first started using this product, I used it every day in the morning, as if it were a daily face wash. I quickly learned that this actually does more harm to your skin than good. You really only need to use this product once or twice a week. More than that and it’ll strip your skin of natural oils. The exfoliant beads could actually damage the top layer of your skin as well.

Using this product once or twice a week is the perfect amount of care for my skin. It takes off the dead skin cells, freshens up my skin, and I’m good to go for another few days. The rest of the days of the week, I just simply use water.

It saves a lot of money doing this kind of skin care regimen, since you’re not wasting all your face wash. Daily face washes, with harmful chemicals, actually are quite harmful for your skin. You build up a dependency on them, with your face creating more oils the more you use it, so eventually you won’t be able to stop.

I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a simple and straightforward way to take care of their skin. St. Ive’s is truly a blessing.
